Oklahoma Mithras Observatory
back
Oklahoma's Anubis Cave may be one of the world's foremost surviving examples of Mithras worship. Mithras was a ancient pagan sun god, born of rock, and co-ordinator of celestial rhythms. This video excerpt from "Old News" includes a brief discussion of the mythology, clips from London's Temple of Mithras, and analysis of some constellations thought to be involved in the main equinox sunset panel.
